EEG
An Electroencephalogram (EEG) is a non-invasive medical test that calculates the electrical activity of the brain to evaluate any health problems. Electrical impulses in your brain cells show up as wavy lines in an EEG recording. Small metal discs with electrodes are attached to your scalp which sends the signals to the computer to record the results.
The lab technician marks the spot on your head, where to attach the electrodes with wires. These are attached to the head using a special gel adhesive. Your hair must be rinsed properly before the test to improve the quality of the recording.
